The Pakistani reality show Tamasha has once again come under fire—this time from fellow celebrities who are calling out the producers for normalizing bullying and mental harassment on national television. Leading the criticism are actresses Alizeh Shah and Romaisa Khan, who took to social media to express their outrage over how the show treats its contestants.
Alizeh Shah didn’t hold back when addressing the show’s alleged toxic environment, comparing the Tamasha house to a “torture chamber” rather than a reality set. In her Instagram story, she accused the producers of turning humiliation into entertainment and questioned how such behavior could be broadcasted proudly across the globe.
She also brought attention to the tragic case of Humaira Asghar, a contestant from the first season, who had reportedly faced bullying during her time on the show. Shah implied that the emotional toll of such mistreatment should never be taken lightly. “How can we, as a society, laugh at people being stripped of dignity for ratings?” she questioned.
Echoing Shah’s concerns, Romaisa Khan also lashed out at the show’s format, calling it “absurd and degrading.” She criticized the producers for setting bizarre “food timers” and punishing contestants for trivial matters, turning what was meant to be a reality competition into a disturbing spectacle.
