Pakistani actress Mahira Khan recently revealed that she received an offer for the popular web series Heeramandi 15 years ago.
During a recent interview, Mahira shared that the opportunity arose while she was in Mumbai for a friend's wedding. Her friend, who was at renowned designers Rizwan and Moin Baig's studio selecting a wedding outfit, mentioned Mahira when the conversation turned to the search for a Pakistani actress.
At the time, Mahira was a well-known TV VJ. This recommendation led to a meeting with acclaimed Indian filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who showed interest in casting her for Heeramandi.
