Pakistani television host Nida Yasir has shared a parenting experience that gave her a fresh perspective on disciplining children, revealing how a simple school consequence led to an unexpected change in her son’s behaviour at home.
During a recent episode of her morning show, Good Morning Pakistan, Nida joined a discussion about modern parenting and the changing ways parents and teachers handle children’s mistakes. While talking about discipline, the host shared an example from her own family that caught her attention.
Nida explained that her son had studied under two different school principals, one around 60 years old and the other in his thirties. Their contrasting approaches to handling students made her notice how much attitudes towards discipline have evolved over the years.
Sharing what happened recently, Nida revealed that her son’s principal decided to take away his tablet for a week because of his behaviour. Rather than embarrassing him in front of his classmates or using physical punishment, the principal chose to limit his access to a gadget he enjoyed using.
