Sadia Imam revealed, for the first time since her 2012 marriage, that her husband stopped her from working in showbiz after their wedding. She married Adnan Haider, a Pakistani-born German industrialist, and the couple has a daughter.
After the wedding, Sadia Imam took a long break from showbiz but has made appearances in recent years. In a 2020 interview, she denied quitting the industry and clarified that her husband had prevented her from working, though she hadn’t left the field.

Now, Sadia Imam openly admits that her husband did stop her from working after marriage. Appearing on Samaa TV’s morning show, she discussed challenges before and after marriage, sharing personal insights.

She reflected on how mothers in the past trained their daughters differently, insisting on family events despite personal reluctance. Sadia credits her parents with instilling in her the value of attending family gatherings, which she believes strengthens bonds and provides lessons lacking in today's generation.
Commenting on women pursuing careers post-marriage, she said societal mindsets need to change. She emphasized that media, including TV, can influence this shift. Sadia shared, “My husband admired me as an actress before marriage, but afterward, he stopped me from working due to his ego.” She expressed that her talent and desire to continue were stifled by his refusal.
