Joyland made Pakistan proud this year when it not only received a screening but also two awards at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. At the end of the screening, the film received a 10-minute standing ovation.

The film is scheduled to be screened in Sydney, but Pakistani audiences were wondering if they would ever be able to see it. Director Saim Sadiq has now cleared the air, and the team is certain that Joyland will be released in Pakistan at some point.
He stated that the film will be screened at various festivals for the time being. Right now, Kamli is in theaters, edited by Joylnd director Saim Sadiq, and he has asked Pakistani fans to go see it.
