“‘Alhamdulillah, I’m Very Healthy’: Moin Khan Shuts Down Death Rumours
Former Pakistan cricket star Moin Khan has firmly dismissed the false reports circulating online about his death, reassuring fans that he is alive, well, and in great health. The legendary wicketkeeper took to social media on December 2 to clear the air after a wave of misinformation spread across various platforms.
In a short video message posted on his Instagram story, the 54-year-old called the rumours “irresponsible” and urged people to avoid sharing unverified news. Looking calm and composed, he addressed his supporters directly, saying he felt compelled to put the speculation to rest.
“I want to clarify the false claims circulating about my health. Alhamdulillah, I am perfectly fine and very healthy,” he stated, adding that such careless posts can cause unnecessary panic among family, friends, and fans.
The baseless rumour had alleged that the former wicketkeeper-batter had passed away following a cardiac arrest—news that quickly gained traction before being debunked.
Soon after Moin Khan’s video surfaced, social media users voiced their frustration over the spread of the hoax. Many condemned those responsible for creating panic, while others expressed relief after hearing directly from the former cricketer.
One user wrote, “Shame on the people spreading such fake news. Alhamdulillah, Moin Khan is healthy.” Another added, “Please stay cautious of misinformation. Moin Khan is absolutely fine.”
For those unfamiliar, Moin Khan remains one of Pakistan’s most celebrated cricket figures. He represented the national side from 1990 to 2004 and played a crucial role in Pakistan’s historic 1992 World Cup victory. Over his long career, he accumulated more than 3,000 ODI runs and recorded over 200 ODI catches, along with more than 100 catches in Test cricket.

‘I Am Absolutely Fine’: Imran Ashraf Reacts to Shocking Fake Death News
Imran Ashraf has had to do something no celebrity should ever have to do and that is to assure the world that he is still alive.
The actor recently found himself at the centre of a bizarre social media hoax after AI-generated videos falsely claimed that he had passed away. The fabricated clips spread across social media, leaving some fans genuinely confused about what had happened.
The videos were particularly convincing because they featured digitally created versions of familiar Pakistani personalities, including journalists and celebrities. As the content circulated, the false reports began taking on a life of their own.
Imran eventually stepped in to put the rumours to rest himself.
Taking to his Instagram story, the actor shared a direct message for his followers, writing, “ALHAMDULILLAH I AM ABSOLOUTLY FINE ITS A FAKE NEWS NEED YOUR PRAYERS.”
His message made it clear that there was no truth behind the death reports and that he was perfectly fine.
Among the fabricated content circulating online were videos featuring AI-generated versions of actor Bilal Abbas, former cricketer Shahid Afridi and journalist Mansoor Ali Khan. The use of familiar faces appeared to give the fake reports an added sense of credibility, making the hoax even more disturbing.
One video took the deception a step further by showing what appeared to be Imran Ashraf’s funeral. Such content can easily mislead viewers who encounter it without knowing that the footage has been digitally manipulated.
Unfortunately, Imran is not the first Pakistani celebrity to become the target of an AI-powered death hoax.
Earlier this year, veteran singer Tahira Syed was also forced to respond after false reports about her death began circulating online. She later appeared in a video to confirm that she was alive and healthy, while reminding people to check the authenticity of information before believing or sharing it.
