Following the tragic news of Maulana Tariq Jameel's son's reported suicide, celebrities are urging their followers to emphasize the significance of attending to their mental health. Asim Jameel, the Maulana's younger son, lost his life after using a gun to take his own life at the family's ancestral residence in Tulamba.
Social media witnessed heartbreak when Yousef Jamil officially announced to the press that his brother Asim had succumbed to suicide. Now, additional public figures such as Zara Noor Abbas are advocating for the recognition of depression as a genuine illness.
“For all those who say that depression happens because of deen say duri, please take the example of Maulana Tariq Sahab’s son who was suffering from it even though he had a house full of religious activities and his father being such an honoured religious scholar,” the actress penned.
Zara emphasized to her followers, "Please grasp the reality that depression, like any other illness, is genuine. It drains you of everything. Seek help and support for it. My condolences go out to the family of the deceased. May Allah grant him Jannah and peace."
