Singer-actor Farhan Saeed is spilling the tea on his “difficult” experience filming Tich Button—and he’s not holding back! During an appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, the star didn’t mince words, slamming the film’s cast as “unprofessional” and vowing he’d “never work with them again.”
“When you’re not sincere to a project or team, it flops,” Farhan explained, calling the movie’s casting “wrong altogether.” He criticized co-stars for “90s-style” behavior: showing up late, throwing tantrums, and failing to match his 100% commitment. “You can tell from their career graphs how they’re progressing,” he added, unapologetic about his honesty.
Though the 2022-released film (originally slated for 2019, delayed multiple times) starred Farhan alongside Sonya Hussyn, Feroze Khan, and Iman Ali, it underperformed at the box office—and Farhan says the shoot itself was grueling, especially filming in Nankana Sahib’s minus-2-degree cold. He made exceptions, though: praising Iman (who lives with MS and “collapses in winter”) as a “star” and lauding veterans Qavi Sahab, Gul-e-Rana, Sohail Sahab, Samia Mumtaz, and Raahila Agha as “amazing and dedicated.”
Joking that “the Button got Tiched,” Farhan admitted the project was plagued with issues, adding he’d “change many things—casting included” if given the chance.
Rising to fame as Jal’s lead vocalist before winning hearts in Suno Chanda, Mere Humsafar, and Udaari, Farhan’s unfiltered take on Tich Button has fans buzzing about the behind-the-scenes drama!
