Actor Gohar Rasheed revealed that marrying in the holy city of Makkah had long been a dream he and his wife, actress Kubra Khan, shared.
In a recent candid interview, Gohar recounted how the idea of a Makkah wedding first came up when they were still friends. He said both had imagined their future weddings taking place there, without realizing they shared the same wish.
“Both of us had thought about it on our own,” he said. “I always imagined getting married in Makkah, and Kubra had the same thought. We once mentioned it to each other casually as friends, saying that whenever either of us gets married, it should be there.”
He laughed as he remembered realizing that their shared dream would soon become real. “So when it was finally our wedding, we said, let’s do it in Makkah.”
Reflecting on life after marriage, Gohar spoke about the peace and clarity it brought. “There’s a reason why marriage is beloved in the eyes of Allah,” he explained. “It filters out distractions. When you’re single, countless pointless people surround you, but after marriage, they disappear. It’s like Allah clears the path and leaves only the genuine ones.”
