Renowned Pakistani actor Gohar Rasheed stirred conversations with his bold views on marriage, urging young people to marry only after achieving personal goals and overcoming worldly temptations.
Appearing on a private talk show, Rasheed stressed that marriage demands emotional readiness, maturity, and genuine commitment—not just financial stability.
“Fulfill your worldly desires first, then get married,” he advised. “Marriage is hard work and a serious responsibility. No one prepares us for it; people just say, ‘Sign the Nikkah papers,’ but it’s much more than that.”
Rasheed challenged young men to stop blaming marriage for unfulfilled dreams. “Don’t say you couldn’t achieve your goals because you got married. What’s the wife’s fault in that?” he asked.
He highlighted how society often trains boys only for careers, not for the emotional and practical responsibilities of marriage. Rasheed urged parents to raise sons who understand partnership, respect, and empathy—not just financial success.
Reflecting on his own experience, Rasheed shared how marriage transformed his life and strengthened his bond with fellow actor Kubra Khan. “Life changes after marriage,” he said. “Kubra initially rejected my proposal, but I stayed persistent until she said yes. She’s truly a blessing in my life.”
His message to the youth was simple yet powerful: don’t rush into marriage—enter it with purpose, preparation, and a sincere heart.
