Playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, honey-trapped by a gang of criminals, has vowed to bring them to justice, asserting that trolls will also face consequences. In an interview, he stated, “Yes, the gang tortured me. I won’t forgive them, and they will be punished. It’s essential to deal with them strictly.”
He clarified that he has no connection to the gang or Amna Arooj, noting, “It was a very dangerous gang involved in multiple murder cases.”
Qamar emphasized that respect comes from Allah and vowed, “I won’t rest until they face punishment. I’ll first handle the gang, then deal with the trolls. Legal action is underway, and social media trolls will also be held accountable.”
The renowned writer, known for hits like Mere Paas Tum Ho, Sadqay Tumhare, and Punjab Nahi Jaungi, added that his lawyers have advised him to limit his comments.
The Honey Trap Case of Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar
On July 15, 2024, renowned Pakistani scriptwriter Khalilur Rehman Qamar was allegedly abducted and robbed in Lahore.
He reported the incident to the police on July 21, after being released following a ransom payment.
Qamar had allegedly been invited to Amna Arooj's home under the pretense of discussing a drama project.
