Writer Misbah Nosheen has addressed the backlash against the ongoing drama Humraaz, revealing that the channel made major changes to her original script without seeking her approval.
In a recent YouTube interview, Nosheen expressed deep regret over how the drama aired, blaming the channel for altering the structure and pacing.
“They changed the script, claiming it would improve the story, but it actually made things worse,” she said. “They completely changed the structure, the plot, and the theme I built.”
Nosheen acknowledged that viewers' criticism was justified. “People had valid questions. The pace slowed down too much for a thriller—it needed to be fast and cut-to-cut, but it wasn’t,” she added.
She concluded that the changes ruined the script and stripped the drama of its intended impact.
Directed by Farooq Rind and starring Ayeza Khan, Zahid Ahmed, Amna Ilyas, and Feroze Khan, Humraaz continues to face growing criticism for its weak and illogical storyline, despite its strong cast and production.
