Pakistani actor Momina Iqbal has levelled fresh allegations against Punjab Assembly lawmaker Saqib Chaddhar, accusing him of harassment, blackmail and threats amid a continuing dispute.
During a recent interview, Momina Iqbal said she had received threats involving the purported release of her private photos and personal content on social media platforms.
The actor stated circumstances grew so unbearable that she contemplated suicide 12 days prior to her own wedding.
She recalled that Chaddhar had once approached her family with a marriage proposal but her father requested time before granting consent. She alleged that months afterward messages from Chaddhar’s first wife showed to her that he was indeed already married.
The actress said her fiancé, Hamza, kept on supporting her throughout the controversy and called his backing a truly major source of strength.
Iqbal further denied assertions that she had been engaged to Chaddhar, asking how such a claim could exist without any pictures from an engagement ceremony.
