Mujadid Sabri Recalls Media Intrusion During Family’s Grief
Mujadid shared that the media’s relentless pursuit of the family began almost immediately after his father’s assassination. “Not only were cameras waiting for us at every turn, but reporters would even show up at our home,” he recounted. The constant intrusion forced the family to relocate to Lahore, seeking solace away from the public eye. Mujadid, who was only 13 at the time, described how the media’s insensitive questions, such as “Do you miss your father?”, added to their pain. He even recalled confronting a TV host, asking, “When your father passes away, I’ll ask you how it feels.”
