Ahead of Ramazan 2026, Shoaib Malik has joined the wave of celebrities performing Umrah in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
The former cricketer recently undertook the spiritual journey to Saudi Arabia, marking a poignant chapter shortly after announcing his retirement from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) following a ten-season career.
Sharing a photograph from the pilgrimage with the Kaaba in the background, the 43-year-old captioned the image: “May every Muslim get to experience this feeling. Ameen!”
The Umrah also came just days after Malik quietly celebrated his second wedding anniversary with actress Sana Javed on January 16. His marriage to Javed had drawn significant public attention, as it followed his separation from Indian tennis star Sania Mirza. The former couple, once regarded as a celebrated cross-border pair, share a son, Izhaan Mirza Malik.
Malik's cricket journey spans over two decades, during which he represented Pakistan in all three formats of the game. A versatile all-rounder, he made his international debut in 1999 and went on to play 35 Tests, 287 ODIs, and 113 T20Is for his country. He captained the national team in both ODIs and T20Is and was part of Pakistan's 2009 T20 World Cup-winning squad.
