When love stories end, the world moves on but the heart doesn’t heal overnight. Tennis legend Sania Mirza recently opened up about one of the darkest moments in her life, revealing that she suffered a frightening panic attack shortly after her much-publicized divorce from former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik.
During a conversation with her dear friend Farah Khan on her show Serving It Up With Sania, the sports icon gave fans a rare glimpse into the emotional storm she battled behind her poised exterior.
It was in 2024 when news of Sania and Shoaib’s separation shocked fans across both India and Pakistan. The two, who tied the knot in 2010 and share a son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, had long been considered a symbol of cross-border love. But when their marriage ended, Sania quietly faced the emotional wreckage away from the public eye.
Speaking on the show, Sania admitted that adjusting to life as a single mother wasn’t easy. Farah Khan, who has stood by her like a sister, acknowledged the challenges of walking that path alone. “Everyone has their own journey,” Farah said, “but being a single mother requires unmatched strength.”
