Pakistani actor Sarah Omair has responded to the online attention and critique surrounding comparisons of her appearance to Bollywood icon Kareena Kapoor Khan, which gained traction after her television comeback.
Following her return to the screen, increased public appearances and new project announcements brought fresh visibility—and with it, social media buzz about her resemblance to the Indian star.
While many fans celebrated the similarity, others accused Omair of fueling the comparison for publicity, with negative remarks often coming from female users.
Addressing the controversy on a recent podcast, Omair firmly rejected claims that she initiated the parallel. “I am a fan of Kareena Kapoor, but this comparison started with fans, not me,” she stated. “Some tried to suggest I ran a publicity campaign, which is untrue.”
