Shahida Mini Says Today’s Actresses Lack Traditional Femininity

Recently, Shahida Mini appeared on the show Zabardast, hosted by Wasi Shah. The actress spoke about contemporary actresses who, in her view, lack traditional femininity.

Talking about it, Shahida Mini said: “I won’t say that actresses today are not beautiful, but one thing I would say is that they lack feminine attributes. They now lack the delicacy and charm traditionally associated with women. No doubt, they are naturally pretty and look adorable; there is no flaw in them, and they are performing well. But the delicacy has vanished. If you remove feminine charm from a woman, then nothing is left. Eyes may be beautiful, height may be good, lips may be perfect, but if there are no expressions, it is of no use—like a doll that has all the beauty but is stiff. Likewise, many current girls appear expressionless. Not only this, they also wear dresses like men. Previously, we used to dress according to our character; an actor should look like the character. Mahira is good, I like her, and the rest of the actors are also performing well.”

If I work honestly, I should be compensated on time, but unfortunately, this is rarely the practice here.”
