Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy: Championing Women’s Empowerment

Renowned filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy recently participated in a compelling dialogue on women’s empowerment alongside designer Diane von Fürstenberg at the World Economic Forum.

The ‘Wrapped in Leadership’ session underscored the duo’s unwavering commitment to leveraging their platforms to support women’s causes. Fürstenberg, introducing Obaid-Chinoy as a “brave and serious film producer,” highlighted their shared dedication to advocacy.

During the discussion, Obaid-Chinoy, the CEO of SOC Films, unveiled the completion of a documentary focused on Fürstenberg’s life. The documentary is set to be released on Disney+ overseas and Hulu in the United States.
