Sohai Ali Abro recently opened up on Gup Shab with Vasay Chaudhry about her return to acting after a long break. Known for her roles in Wrong No and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, she stepped away from the spotlight for a few years to focus on her personal life, including her marriage to cricketer Shehzar Mohammad and welcoming their daughter in 2022.
Reflecting on the hiatus, Abro admitted, "I felt like I’d forgotten how to act after being completely disconnected for three to four years." She shared her initial anxiety about returning to acting but described her first time back on set as transformative: “When I stepped on set, it felt like I had never left."
Motherhood also shifted her perspective on acting. "I thought I might not want to act again because motherhood changes all your priorities," she said. While she didn’t feel much different, those around her did. Director Nadeem Baig noted a newfound calmness in her after marriage and having a baby, a comment that took her by surprise.
