In a distressing video recorded from a hospital bed, Zainab Jamil recounted the terrifying incident, claiming that her husband orchestrated the attack. "The attack was carried out by my husband as he has been threatening me for the last two months,” she asserted. The assault occurred in Lahore’s DHA Phase IV when two masked men opened fire on her car as she was en route to her salon.
Zainab, visibly shaken and injured, revealed that she had previously received threats from her husband but never took them seriously. "I was taking these threats lightly that the father of my children cannot do something [bad] with the mother of his children," she explained. Despite possessing evidence, she expressed dissatisfaction with the police investigation and ongoing threats to her life, urgently appealing for protection and a thorough inquiry.

The former actress emphasized her plight, noting that media access to her at the hospital was being restricted, ostensibly to suppress her voice. "I need help.
