Pakistani audiences strongly disapprove of the casting of Farhan Saeed and Kinza Hashmi in the upcoming romantic comedy Laddu.
The pair, who recently starred in the drama Shireen Farhad, failed to impress viewers after the project flopped at the box office.
Once celebrated for stellar performances in hit dramas like Udaari, Meray Humsafar, and Suno Chanda, Farhan Saeed has struggled to maintain the same impact in recent projects. Fans, hoping for a solid comeback, now feel disappointed by his repeated casting choices. Kinza Hashmi, however, continues to win praise for her unique roles and notable performances in Khushboo Mein Basay Khat and Shireen Farhad.
Director Abu Aleeha and writer Ali Moeen have set Laddu against Karachi’s gritty backdrop, but audiences remain reluctant to see Saeed and Hashmi paired again.
Social media users voiced sharp criticism: one called the film “another flop in the making,” while another questioned, “Why Kinza Hashmi again after a failed drama?” Others urged Saeed to “work with a new heroine for good work, not just friendship.”
