Jamal

Veteran actor Firdous Jamal recently addressed his choice to live alone, dispelling divorce rumors. Jamal clarified, “I’ve been married for 35 years; why would I divorce my wife now? These are baseless rumors, and I’m unsure why my son, Hamza Firdous, said this.” He denied claims that he left his home for a rundown rented house to gain sympathy, explaining that he lives alone to avoid being a burden.

Jamal shared that he prefers solitude to focus on his work, stating, “I like solitude to immerse myself in my characters, something that wasn’t possible with family.” He added, “I don’t want to be a burden on anyone, especially at this age.”

Hamza Firdous, his son, confirmed that Jamal’s wife initiated divorce proceedings after 35 years of marriage. In a video, Hamza revealed that his mother endured their strained relationship, hoping things would improve. He cited Jamal’s struggles as painful for their family and shared how he and his siblings supported their father through his cancer treatment, refuting any claims that they neglected him.

Addressing his separation, Jamal expressed that after falling ill, he chose to live alone to spare his family’s distress. Reflecting on his marriage, he admitted regret, stating, “I married the wrong person at the wrong time.”
