Pakistani singer Sajjad Ali has responded to a fan’s bold claim that no one has ever taken a musical dig at an ex-partner quite like he did, proving that some songs never lose their impact, even after decades.
The veteran musician recently shared a video on Instagram featuring a statement that read, “Someone said it has been 30 years and no one roasted their ex like I did.” Rather than taking the claim too seriously, Ali appeared amused by the creativity behind the trend.

“People are getting really creative with these trends 😅😅,” he wrote in the caption, joining the conversation with his characteristic sense of humour.
The video featured lyrics from his song that have clearly stayed with listeners over the years. One of the lines reads, “Jaan-e-jaan, maut nahin, sharam to aati hogi. Yaad to aati hogi, dil dukhati hogi,” which roughly translates to, “My beloved, if not death, you must at least feel ashamed. The memories must return, and they must hurt you.”
