Actor Khaqan Shahnawaz has openly criticized music legend Atif Aslam for allegedly borrowing ideas from smaller online creators without giving them credit. The disclosure came during Khaqan’s candid chat on the Pakiavellian podcast, where he didn’t hold back while discussing the blurred lines between mainstream celebrities and social media content creators.
Speaking openly, Khaqan clarified that he harbors no personal animosity towards the globally acclaimed singer. However, he expressed disappointment over what he perceives as a lack of originality in Atif’s recent Instagram posts. According to Khaqan, the singer’s newly found interest in humorous and trending short videos appears to mimic the creative work of smaller digital artists.
“As someone who creates content from scratch, I find it disheartening when bigger names use the same ideas without acknowledging the creators who started them,” Khaqan remarked. He emphasized that recognition and credit are the least a creator deserves, regardless of fame or following.
