How Hiba Ali is Fighting Depression After Divorce

Hiba Ali is a stunning and talented actress who has appeared in numerous hit serials in the past. Her notable drama, “Dil Diya Dehleez,” featured her in a leading role. Although Hiba Ali left the industry, she frequently appeared on morning shows.

She made a comeback with “Mayi Ri,” and her latest notable dramas include “Shiddat” and “Jaan Nisar.”

Hiba Ali’s Fight Against Depression

In an interview, Hiba Ali discussed her divorce, dealing with depression afterward, the option of a second marriage, and the child custody case filed by her husband. She said, “We are bearing it. People who are suffering from depression commit suicide. At least appreciate people who are dealing with it. I know people think depression patients are talking about it for attention-seeking or taking some kind of mileage or benefit, but that is not the case.”

Talking about her divorce, Hiba Ali said, “For me, it was always unplanned. I always wanted to live with my husband because he was the father of my son. I wanted to live with understanding. He was a good person. We lacked understanding in basic matters. He was educated, and I was a sensible girl; we couldn’t fight daily over trivial things. We decided on divorce at the dinner table.

Yes, I was shocked after the custody case. He used to think that I made our son distant from him because, obviously, he was in Canada. It was our kid’s own choice to talk to his father or not; however, we compromised on the custody case outside the court as I didn’t want to give up. I told him he was only going to waste his money. I think I made a mistake in getting married or I should not have taken a divorce.”

Hiba Ali further stated that she will never remarry for the sake of her son. She believes that no one should give this pain to their child and that one cannot get married happily again after a traumatic experience.

From my father’s side, we are Pakhtoon, and from my mother’s side, we are Syed. Both families are modest; we weren’t allowed to come on media. None of my cousins or siblings ever appeared on TV. They are married and live a private and modest life. I came to the media because of the financial burden after my father’s death. One day, I was coming back from the office when a boy on a bike grabbed my dupatta from behind and pulled it. I was all alone, standing on the road without a dupatta. I was shocked. I looked back and slapped him, and two of his teeth broke — his mouth was bleeding. He called the police. Do you know breaking someone’s teeth is a punishable act? Yes, one thing I did at that time was recite ‘Ya Ali Madad,’ and it gave me strength.”
