A Karachi court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Dania Shah in a case concerning the alleged circulation of private videos of late television personality Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain.
According to media reports, a judicial magistrate in Karachi’s East District ordered the police to arrest Shah and present her before the court at the next hearing. The order came after she failed to appear during the proceedings, prompting the court to take action over her absence.
During the hearing, Shah’s lawyer informed the magistrate that she was unable to attend because of illness. The defence subsequently requested an exemption from her personal appearance, seeking permission for the proceedings to continue without her presence.
However, the court rejected the request. The magistrate expressed displeasure over Shah’s absence and directed the authorities to ensure that she was brought before the court. The hearing was then adjourned until October 28, 2026.
