The ban on Pakistani artists working in India has been a contentious issue for years, and singer Falak Shabir has recently expressed his belief that the ban is unlikely to be lifted anytime soon. In a recent Q&A session on Instagram, Falak was questioned about the ban and its implications for Pakistani artists; his response was unequivocal, stating that the ban is here to stay. He recalled a notice he received from T-Series during his visit to Mumbai in 2015, which led him to believe that the ban would persist.
Why Falak Shabir Thinks that India Won't Lift the Ban?
Falak Shabir's assertion aligns with the restrictions that have stifled the careers of numerous Pakistani artists in the Indian entertainment industry. Notable figures like Fawad Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Zafar, Mahira Khan, and Atif Aslam found their opportunities in India abruptly halted when the ban came into effect in 2019.
The ban also follows a history of tensions between the two nations, with the Federation of Western India Cine Employees having previously issued a ban on Pakistani artists and technicians working in Indian films and TV serials due to a perceived war-like situation and the loss of Indian soldiers and civilians.
