Feroze Khan Suffers from Tear-Ointment Side Effects

Actor Feroze Khan revealed that repeated use of Vicks ointment to induce tears for emotional scenes has caused him serious eye problems.

In a recent statement, he explained that prolonged application of the mentholated ointment near his eyes made him extremely sensitive to light — a condition known as photophobia. He admitted that on set, he regularly applied Vicks to trigger tears quickly for dramatic performances.

“I’ve ruined my eyes by constantly applying Vicks to produce tears while acting,” Feroze said. “Now, even a little bit of light feels like a knife in my eyes.”

His admission sparked concern among fans and industry peers. Many praised his dedication but urged him and other actors to prioritise their health on set. Supporters advised him to seek immediate consultation with eye specialists and take precautions such as wearing sunglasses and reducing screen time during recovery.

One fan warned, “No role is worth losing your eyesight. Please stop and focus on recovery before it’s too late.” Another wrote, “Your health matters more than any scene. Take care of yourself and get proper treatment immediately.” A concerned follower added, “I hope other actors learn from this and never put their bodies at such risk for a performance.”

Calls are now growing for safer, industry-standard methods to be introduced for filming emotionally demanding scenes.

Feroze Khan currently stars in the drama serial Humraaz alongside Ayeza Khan and Zahid Ahmed. Despite his health issues, viewers continue to praise his emotional depth and authenticity in the role.

For now, Feroze remains active in Humraaz, but his confession has drawn attention to the often-overlooked physical toll that acting can take behind the scenes.

Actor Sami Khan recalls Near-Fatal on-set Accidents

Pakistani actor Sami Khan recently reflected on two frightening on-set incidents where he narrowly avoided serious injury.

He recalled an early career moment while filming a song for a movie directed by Moammar Rana that was never completed. The scene required him to appear oiled and pose close to an open flame. As he moved nearer, the heat became unbearable, forcing him to step back to avoid burns. To complete the shot, a makeup artist sprayed his hand to protect it, but he could only endure the heat for a few seconds.

In another instance, while shooting a breakup scene with Jana Malik, Sami placed his hand over a candle flame for dramatic effect. Within seconds, his hand was burned. He later admitted it was a painful mistake and a lesson in safety.

Sami urged young actors to remain calm on set and never take unnecessary risks, emphasizing that professionalism and proper safety measures are far more important than dramatic impact.
