Hajra Yamin’s Resilience Amidst Serious Illness

Hajra Yamin, a beloved figure in Pakistani television, theatre, and film, has garnered admiration for her talent, versatility, and vibrant personality. Known for her roles in hit drama like “Ehd E Wafa,” she is cherished by fans for her acting prowess and signature thick, curly hair. Beyond her on-screen success, Yamin is admired for her positive outlook and outspoken stance on social issues.

Recently, Hajra Yamin shared her experience of battling dengue fever during Nadia Khan’s Ramadan transmission on Green Entertainment. Recounting her ordeal, she revealed the challenges she faced while grappling with the illness.

Hajra disclosed that she contracted dengue fever two years ago, which escalated into a critical situation as her tests consistently showed negative results. Complicating matters, she was mistakenly prescribed antibiotics, resulting in hepatitis A and liver damage. Amidst the dengue outbreak and the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hajra found herself in dire straits, struggling to breathe and in urgent need of medical attention.

In a poignant revelation, Hajra expressed her disappointment at the lack of support from her friends during this trying time. Instead, she relied on the kindness of strangers who stepped in to help transport her to the hospital.

Reflecting on her experience, She candidly remarked that those who profess to be Sufis often fail to demonstrate genuine compassion and support.
