The controversy surrounding Pakistani cricket star Imad Wasim continues to escalate, as the cricketer has now taken legal action against his former wife Sania Ashfaq following her serious and emotional allegations. It began as a marital discord that quickly turned into a full-blown public scandal, drawing widespread attention after Sania made distressing claims about her past marriage. The former couple, who share three children, have become the center of one of Pakistan’s most talked-about celebrity legal battles.
Sania Ashfaq recently alleged that her former husband subjected her to emotional trauma, including claims of being forced into a medical procedure during her pregnancy in 2023. She publicly demanded justice, stating that her struggle is not only for herself but also for the well-being of her children.
Breaking his silence, Imad Wasim has now responded formally through his legal counsel. His lawyer, Advocate Aaliya Zareen Abbasi, released a video message dismissing the accusations as unfounded and misleading.
According to the legal team, medical documentation has been secured which contradicts the claims of forced medical intervention. The lawyer further revealed that a formal legal notice has been issued to Sania Ashfaq, warning of legal consequences if what they term “false allegations” continue.
Advocate Abbasi also clarified that Imad Wasim’s international travels in late 2023, including visits to the United States, the UAE, Australia, and England, were conducted with the couple's mutual understanding.
She stated that complete travel documentation and verified medical records have been compiled and are ready to be presented in court, should the matter proceed legally. Additionally, she added that doctors involved during the period are prepared to testify if required.
