In a recent interview with Fuchsia, industry veterans Mohammad Ahmed and Shamim Hilaly discussed the reasons behind the high divorce rates in modern marriages compared to those in the past. According to Mohammad Ahmed, one of the main issues is the lack of willingness among couples to compromise.
He noted that nowadays, couples are less inclined to give each other the time needed to understand and adjust to each other's differences. Additionally, he blamed television for portraying divorce as a quick and easy solution, which isn't reflective of reality. The increasing number of divorces among celebrity couples has further contributed to this trend.
On a positive note, Mohammad Ahmed highlighted a positive change in modern relationships: engaged couples now have the opportunity to spend time together and build a friendship before getting married. This, he believes, enhances understanding and compatibility between partners.
