Nadia Afgan Recalls First Encounter with Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar
In a recent podcast, Nadia Afgan revisited an incident from over two decades ago, around 1997 or 1998. She shared that she was relatively new to the industry at the time and had accompanied veteran actress Samina Peerzada to a studio. While waiting for Samina, Nadia encountered Qamar, who was lounging with his feet on the sofa and smoking a cigarette.
Nadia greeted him with a polite "salam," but his abrupt response startled her. He replied dismissively, “Who are you, girl? Are you here to work?” Intrigued by his demeanor, she later asked Samina Peerzada about him and learned he was a writer. Nadia stated that this interaction left her unimpressed, concluding that someone who lacks basic manners could not be a writer she would want to collaborate with.
