Faran Tahir Returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Faran Tahir

Deadline reports that Pakistani actor Faran Tahir will reprise his role as Raza in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming series Vision Quest. Tahir last appeared in the MCU as the antagonist leader of the Ten Rings in Iron Man (2008), years before the cinematic universe officially launched.

Although details about Tahir’s role and the project remain scarce, fans familiar with Raza’s fate in the 2008 film will find his return a surprising twist.

Vision Quest, a spinoff of WandaVision (2021), focuses on Vision’s journey to recover his memories and humanity after previous traumatic events. Under development since 2022, the series is not expected to premiere before 2026.

In the meantime, Tahir anticipates the release of his next project, The Martial Artist, an English-language Pakistani film starring Shaz Khan as an MMA fighter who reconnects with his roots. Scheduled for a January 31 release, the movie explores themes of redemption and self-discovery.

Khan shared insights about the film in a December interview with Vasay Chaudhry, explaining that the story evolved from a short film he made a decade ago. “The lead character dreams of becoming the best martial artist in the world but faces setbacks that take him off course,” he revealed. Tahir plays the protagonist’s Dada (paternal grandfather), a pivotal role in the story.
