Ahsan Khan has left Pakistani drama fans doing a double take with his performance in Aap Ki Izzat, where the actor plays Tabish across two very different stages of his life.
The drama jumps between decades, requiring Khan to portray Tabish as a man in his mid-20s and later as someone in his 40s. What caught viewers off guard was not only the character’s transformation but how little the actor appeared to have changed between the two timelines.

As scenes from both periods made their way onto social media, fans immediately began comparing Khan’s appearance with his work from years ago. His look in Aap Ki Izzat even brought back memories of his performances in dramas such as Dastaan and Udaari.
One viewer jokingly questioned whether the actor had somehow discovered the secret to eternal youth, writing, “Is Ahsan Khan a vampire?” The fan pointed out that Aap Ki Izzat is running alongside Dastaan, a drama that is more than 16 years old, yet Khan appears remarkably similar.
Another viewer shared the same disbelief, saying the two dramas had become their favourite comparison. Soon, one phrase began appearing repeatedly in reactions to Khan’s appearance: “Reverse aging.”
But while the visual transformation became a talking point, it was Khan’s performance as Tabish that really pulled viewers into the story.
The actor has managed to make the character deeply frustrating in one moment and surprisingly sympathetic in another. That emotional shift has been particularly noticeable in the flashback sequences, where viewers have praised Khan for showing different sides of Tabish without making the character feel one-dimensional.
“Hand out an award to Ahsan Khan for Aap Ki Izzat,” one viewer wrote, praising the actor for returning to television after a considerable gap and showing the difference experience can make. The viewer also highlighted how Khan could make audiences dislike Tabish in one scene before making them feel sorry for him moments later.
Another fan admitted that Khan's performance had become so convincing that they genuinely wanted to reach through the screen and confront his character.
“Bro is acting so well that I genuinely want to crawl through the screen and slap him,” the viewer wrote, adding that they had never expected to hate Ahsan Khan so much in a role.
Someone else simply said they were “really hating this character,” while giving Khan full credit for making the portrayal so effective.
For long-time viewers, however, the praise did not come as a surprise. Khan has built a reputation for taking on emotionally demanding characters, and fans were quick to bring up his earlier work in Udaari while discussing his latest role.
