Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan’s much-celebrated film, The Legend of Maula Jatt, is set to make history as the first Pakistani film to release in Indian cinemas in over a decade, this announcement was made on social media by the film’s producers. The film, which was originally released in Pakistan in 2022, became a massive box office hit and is now poised to capture Indian audiences as well.

The Legend of Maula Jatt is a high-octane remake of the 1979 classic Maula Jatt, known for its intense storyline and iconic characters. Directed by Bilal Lashari, the film stars Fawad Khan as Maula Jatt, alongside Mahira Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi in pivotal roles. The film revived the legendary rivalry between Maula Jatt and Noori Nath, characters that were originally made famous by actors Sultan Rahi and Mustafa Qureshi. Its outstanding production value and gripping plotline received widespread critical acclaim, making it one of the most successful films in Pakistan.
