Which Pakistani actress starred in Indian Movie Animal?

The Indian film Animal lacked a coherent script or story and was filled with excessive action and misogyny. Few people know that UK-based Pakistani actress Shafina Patel Shah, who played Bobby Deol’s second wife in the film, was initially cast for the role of his third wife, later portrayed by Indian actress Mansi Tuksak.

Shafina recounted to Geo Digital how she landed the role: she received an unexpected message while in Peshawar, Pakistan, asking her to audition for an Indian film. After sending her audition tape and not hearing back for a week, she was finally confirmed for the role. During the filming of the song “Jamal Jamalo,” a dramatic incident occurred when a junior cast member fainted due to a graphic scene.

Shafina also shared her experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan in a past advertisement and mentioned her role as a RAW agent in a shelved film with Tiger Shroff.

Shafina Shah, a British-Pakistani from Leicester, United Kingdom, was recently crowned “Ms. Pakistan World 2023” at a beauty pageant held in Lahore. Ms. Pakistan World is an international beauty contest celebrating women of Pakistani descent. Originally held in Toronto, Canada, the pageant relocated to Pakistan in 2020. The event was founded in 2002 by Kuwait-born Canadian Pakistani Sonia Ahmed under the name ‘Miss Canada Pakistan.’ It was initially hosted in Canada due to security concerns and societal attitudes towards beauty pageants in Pakistan.
