Pakistani actor and producer Hareem Farooq has opened up about her role in Hania Aamir’s early career, claiming that she was the one who gave the actress her first break in films.
During a recent interview, Farooq was asked directly whether she had launched Aamir in the film industry. The producer did not hesitate to take credit for the opportunity, responding, “I launched her. Absolutely, absolutely.”
Hareem also used the moment to address a common question about her own career. She explained that people often ask whether she has only recently started producing films, despite her years of experience working behind the scenes. According to her, producing is not something she has just stepped into.
Speaking about Hania's potential, Hareem offered a particularly memorable description of their early association. “She was meant to fly, I just caught her early,” she said, acknowledging the actress’s natural talent while highlighting the timing of her entry into the industry.
Hania Aamir made her acting debut in the 2016 Pakistani comedy film Janaan. At the time, she was studying at FAST-NUCES and auditioned for the project while still in college. Farooq co-produced the film and also made a cameo appearance, bringing the two actresses together at an early stage of Aamir’s career.
Before making her big-screen debut, Aamir had already attracted attention through the Dubsmash videos she shared online. Her expressive personality and growing social media following helped introduce her to a wider audience, but Janaan gave her the opportunity to demonstrate her acting abilities on the big screen.
