Nine Held in Khalilur Rehman Qamar ‘Honey Trap’ Case

Judge Khalid Arshad of Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court has ordered the judicial remand of nine suspects in the Khalilur Rehman Qamar ‘honey trap’ case.
During the proceedings, the investigating officer stated that no further physical remand was necessary.
On July 15, 2024, renowned Pakistani scriptwriter Khalilur Rehman Qamar was allegedly abducted and robbed in Lahore. He reported the incident to the police on July 21, after being released following a ransom payment.
Qamar claimed that he was lured to Amna Arooj’s home under the pretense of discussing a drama project, but his lawyer asserts that he was abducted by armed men.
However, Amna Arooj’s lawyer presents a different narrative, alleging that Qamar’s manager initially contacted Amna under the guise of professional interest, but the interaction reportedly became personal, with Qamar allegedly making demands. According to Amna’s lawyer, Qamar insisted on another meeting, arrived intoxicated, and pressured her for a physical relationship, threatening to leak photos if she refused.
The alleged mastermind, Hasan Shah, then reportedly kidnapped both Amna and Qamar, though the details of their ordeal remain unclear.
Amna later accused the police of torturing her, claiming they forced her to falsely label the incident as a honey trap. The case is ongoing with significant developments expected.

Mahira Khan Shares Unseen Footage for Husband’s Birthday

Mahira Khan, who quietly married entrepreneur Salim Karim last October, recently took to Instagram to celebrate her husband’s birthday. She shared a heartfelt photo of them embracing, along with the message, “Happy birthday my Jaan. P.S. Please make a small dua for us, it would be lovely.”
The post was flooded with comments from industry colleagues, friends, and family, all sending love and well wishes to Salim and the couple. Sarwat Gilani and Erica Robin, the first Miss Universe Pakistan, left heart emojis, while Zara Noor Abbas commented, “Nazar-e-Badoor (far be the evil eye),” and director Asim Raza wrote, “So many reasons to celebrate you two. May you both live long and stay strong.”
In an interview with a local news outlet, the Superstar actor shared details about her deeply emotional wedding ceremony in Bhurban, Pakistan. Though weddings often bring tears of joy, Mahira revealed that her nuptials had an unexpectedly profound effect on everyone, including the staff.
Mahira recounted that it wasn’t just her close friends and family who were “ugly crying”; her son Azlan, from her first marriage, was deeply moved, but the star was particularly surprised to see waiters and even foreign DJs in tears as she walked down the aisle. “Because it was so small and intimate, it was a real moment of trust and letting go,” she explained.
The wedding was a private affair, attended by a close-knit group of loved ones. Though Mahira has kept her relationship with Salim largely out of the public eye, she later shared a video from the ceremony, capturing the moment Salim teared up as he watched his bride-to-be approach, dressed in an exquisite ice-blue and ivory Faraz Manan ensemble, complete with a trailing veil.

Babar Azam Controversy: Nazish Jahangir Makes Instagram Account Private

Actress Nazish Jahangir sparked controversy when she decided to switch her Instagram account from public to private following criticism from fans of Pakistani cricket team captain Babar Azam. The Babar Azam controversy has landed Nazish Jahangir in hot waters since her recent comment in a Q&A session went viral.
Social Media Backlash Prompts Nazish Jahangir to Switch Instagram to Private
Nazish Jahangir found herself at the center of a social media storm after she responded to a hypothetical marriage proposal from Babar Azam during an Instagram Q&A session. Her polite refusal to the question, stating that she would “excuse herself” if Babar Azam proposed, stirred up a wave of backlash from fans of the cricket star. The criticism quickly escalated into trolling and negative comments on Jahangir’s Instagram account, prompting her to take action to protect her online presence.
Showbiz starlet Nazish Jahangir issued a clarification regarding her surprising response to a supposed marriage proposal from star cricketer Babar Azam. After her previous statement, involving Pakistan cricket team’s skipper Babar Azam, angered the fans of the star player, Jahangir termed all national cricketers her ‘bros’. During an interactive session on her Instagram handle, she expressed that if the top-order batter proposed to her for marriage, she would excuse herself. Facing the wrath of the cricketer’s loyal fan base on social media, the ‘Berukhi’ actor clarified in the following story, “Babar bhai hum sab k bhai hain but un k fans MA dil khol k negativity phila rahy hain (Babar is like a brother to us but his fans are spreading negativity all across).” She added, “Na meri cricketers se leni na deni (I have nothing to do with cricketers), all are bros to me tbh [to be honest].” Jahangir emphasized, “I have no issue with cricketers nor do I pass any statement or judgement for them, so keep your negativity to yourself.”
Babar Azam Controversy: Clarification Remarks
In an attempt to address the controversy, Nazish Jahangir issued a clarification, explaining that her response was intended as a light-hearted joke and expressing her admiration for Babar Azam and all national cricketers. Despite her efforts to defuse the situation, the backlash continued unabated, leading Jahangir to make the decision to switch her Instagram account to private mode.
It is pertinent to note that the recent controversy emerged days after Jahangir affirmed that she would never marry anyone from the showbiz industry. “I will never marry someone from the industry, that’s very clear. It would be even better if he is from outside Pakistan. I’ve never given it a thought, but definitely, if given an option, I will settle anywhere abroad after marriage, be it the USA, Dubai, Canada, or even London,” she had said.
