Ali Zafar’s World Cup 2023 Anthem “Maza Aya” Out Now!

Singer Ali Zafar is the performer of the newly introduced anthem for the ICC World Cup 2023.

In his latest song, Hashim Nawaz collaborates with him. The track competes with iconic predecessors like ‘De Ghumake’ from 2011. However, cliched backing vocals and uninspiring synth lines interrupt the song.

Nawaz pays tribute to hip-hop and incorporates his distinctive rap styles that have defined Pakistan’s sports-related music scene for the past four years. The chorus “Maza Aya” is widely used. But its heavy reliance on the lyrics doesn’t capture the expected cricket enthusiasm in Pakistani audiences.

The poetry of the hymn reveals a desire to spark the explosion of patriotism and revelry that characterizes the Pakistani cricket experience. The song’s topic is maintained in the music video, which makes you feel patriotic.

On Instagram, Ali Zafar expressed his thoughts about his latest creation. He says, “For the love of cricket and my fans, I present ‘Maza Aya’.” Further, “I just wanna say, like always, I had so much fun all your love,” Zafar continued. I have no idea how these miracles take place, but all I know is that with love and belief, anything is possible.
