Senior Pakistani actor Behroze Sabzwari has publicly spoken out against men who marry again while still with their first wives.
His comments were made during a recent TV show, where he talked openly about the growing trend of multiple marriages.
Discussing the topic, the veteran star said a man’s first wife—whether someone thinks she’s good or not—is a gift from God.
He stressed that if a man’s first wife is alive and still with him, getting a second marriage becomes a big challenge. According to Sabzwari, such a choice brings problems that men often don’t see coming.
The actor added that he didn’t want to generalize about every situation, but he questioned why someone would need a second marriage if they already have a kind, supportive wife at home.
He suggested that instead of looking for another relationship, men should value the partner they already have.
To illustrate his point, Sabzwari playfully mentioned TV host Iqrar-ul-Hassan, noting that he’s been married three times.
In jest, he added that if Iqrar decides to marry a fourth time, people won’t know how to react.
He explained that Iqrar came to mind simply because they’d recently flown together on the same plane.
Sabzwari’s remarks have sparked conversations on social media, with many viewers praising his honest take on the sensitive issue of polygamy.
