Actor Fareed Khan has shared new details about the widely publicized on-set altercation between Minsa Malik and Alizeh Shah from 2021, offering a firsthand account that places the blame squarely on Minsa.
Speaking on a podcast hosted by Ahmed Ali Butt, Fareed said that he was part of the same scene when the altercation broke out. He explained that the scene required Minsa and Alizeh to hug, but things took an unexpected turn once the cameras started rolling.
"I heard the sound of a slap. For about five seconds, I just stood there looking at them," Fareed recalled. He said he initially thought Minsa might have improvised until he realized what had actually happened.
According to Fareed, there was no visible tension between the two actresses before that day. He said the issue traced back to a script change, revealing that Minsa had reportedly been unhappy after being moved from her original track to a new one. He believes that frustration may have spilled over onto Alizeh.
"I was a firsthand witness. I felt that an injustice had been done to someone," Fareed said, adding that he would have spoken up regardless of who was involved.
He also addressed the backlash that followed his decision to speak out. Fareed said false stories began circulating within hours, claiming Alizeh had thrown a cigarette at him, hit him, and torn his clothes—allegations he insists are completely untrue.
