Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar Opens Up About Harrowing Kidnapping Experience

Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar, a renowned Pakistani writer, recently shared a harrowing experience involving an attempted kidnapping. He recounted being lured to a meeting under false pretenses by a woman named Amina Arooj, who, along with accomplices, abducted him. Fortunately, Amina Arooj is now in police custody.

In a subsequent podcast hosted by Ahmed Mujtaba, Qamar disclosed details about the incident, including how the kidnappers falsely invoked the names of two prominent Pakistani celebrities, Nauman Ijaz and Saba Qamar. Initially hesitant to involve law enforcement due to these misleading claims, Qamar eventually reported the crime. He emphasized that despite personal differences, Nauman Ijaz and Saba Qamar are unlikely to be involved in such criminal activities.

Reflecting on the ordeal, Qamar expressed gratitude for the support he received from his Indian fans during this distressing time, contrasting it with negative reactions from some quarters in Pakistan. He also shared concerns about his family’s well-being, particularly his wife and daughters, who were deeply affected by the incident. Qamar revealed that his wife now urges him to leave Pakistan, fearing for his safety.
