Bollywood adores appropriating Pakistani music and plots without ever giving credit or obtaining permission. They do not want Pakistani artists to work there, but they do allow Pakistani content to be screened. The most recent issue involved the inclusion of Nach Punjaban by Abrar ul Haq in Varun Dhawan's Jug Jugg Jeeyo.
Abrar ul Haq stated that he has not provided the production company the rights to his music and threatened legal action against them. The film is produced by Karan Johar's production company, which asserted that they have definitely acquired the song's rights. However, they ultimately gave Abrar ul Haq credit for the song.
