Zahid Ahmed Explains His Role in “Gentleman”

Zahid Ahmed, a talented Pakistani television actor, is well-known for his impressive performances and diverse roles. His standout performance in “Ishq Zahe Naseeb” received widespread acclaim. Zahid has also been praised for his roles in dramas like “Besharam,” “Zara Yad Ker,” “Muhabbat Tujhe Alvida,” “Mehram,” and “Sangat.” Currently, he is getting a lot of attention for his roles in Hum TV’s “Jaan SE Pyara Juni” and Green Entertainment’s popular serial “Gentleman.” In “Gentleman,” Zahid plays a bureaucrat whose character has been highly praised by the public.

Recently, Zahid Ahmed spoke about his role in “Gentleman” during a brief interview with Hassan Chaudhary at an event for Something Haute. Zahid shared why he decided to take on the character of Faris in “Gentleman.”

In the interview, Zahid explained, “I don’t have strong feelings about the character—neither love nor hate. I just did my job as an actor. What mattered to me was that Humayun Saeed, a respected actor, directly asked me to play this role. I was eager to work with him and the other talented cast members like Yumna, Adnan Siddiqui, and Sohai. It was a great experience.”

He continued, “When I learned that Faris was a toxic, pious, greedy, vindictive, and jealous character, I was still enthusiastic about performing. You sign up for a role, and you do your job. For me, it was important to take on the challenge and deliver a good performance, regardless of the character’s traits.”
