Veteran actor Hina Dilpazeer recently shared that despite playing 25 characters in the ARY drama 'Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah', she was only paid the salary of a single actor. The revelation had people talking about the treatment and compensation of actors in the entertainment industry.
Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah: Hina Dilpazeer's Multifaceted Role
In a candid conversation on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, "Excuse Me", Dilpazeer recounted her experience on 'Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah', which aired from 2012 to 2014. Initially, she was cast to play just a few characters. However, whenever the showrunners were unable to find actors for new roles, they turned to Dilpazeer. This led to her portraying 25 characters, including five male roles, throughout the series.
Dilpazeer explained that the repetitive requests to play multiple roles tested her patience, but she rose to the challenge each time. She even recalled an episode where she played all the characters herself, a feat that took two to three days to shoot.
