Pakistani actor and director Syed Ehteshamuddin has urged Sahir Lodhi to persist with filmmaking, even in the face of past challenges.
Both Ehteshamuddin and Lodhi have made noteworthy efforts to uplift Pakistan’s film industry. Ehteshamuddin—celebrated for his talent and versatility—has excelled in both acting and direction, delivering numerous hit television projects over the years.
Sahir Lodhi, meanwhile, remains one of Pakistan’s most recognizable figures in the entertainment sphere.
During a recent guest appearance on a comedy show aired on a private TV channel, Ehteshamuddin opened up on various topics, including Lodhi’s professional journey.
Lodhi previously starred as the lead in his own film Raasta, which struggled at the box office and faced widespread criticism and ridicule.
Ehteshamuddin stated that he would advise Lodhi not to let Raasta’s setback dishearten him. He noted that across both Pakistan and India, many actors spent years honing their craft before achieving success. Icons like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Humayun Saeed maintained consistent work ethics until they earned audiences’ widespread admiration.
Ehteshamuddin added that Lodhi should follow suit—keep working, keep creating, and never abandon his filmmaking aspirations.
