Hira Soomro: ‘A Man Can Marry Four Times if He Has Money and Manners’
Pakistani actress Hira Soomro openly expressed her views on the sensitive topic of men remarrying, saying that if her husband decided to take a second wife, she would have no objection—so long as he continued to support her and their children in every possible way.
Speaking passionately on the FHM Podcast, Soomro explained that, in her view, a man’s wish to remarry should not cause issues or disrupt his family life, provided he is fully meeting his wife’s emotional, financial, and familial needs. She believes that women should cultivate independence and self-reliance, emphasizing that a husband’s decision to marry again shouldn’t automatically affect a woman’s peace or sense of security.
Soomro elaborated that if her own husband were to consider a second marriage, she would not interfere, as long as he continued to care for her and their children. She acknowledged that Islam allows men to marry up to four times and explained that if her husband were respectful, understanding of her needs, and devoted to their family’s well-being, she would accept his choice without hesitation or distress.
Known for her artistry and dedication to Pakistani television, Soomro has made a strong impact with her performances in various hit dramas, including her much-praised role in Tere Bin.
As a mother of two, she has skillfully balanced her family obligations with her vibrant acting career, building a reputation as both a devoted mother and a committed artist.
With a deep passion for creativity and storytelling, Soomro remains steadfastly dedicated to her craft, bringing a unique honesty and depth to her work, while staying equally devoted to her family life.
