Crossover stories are taking center stage this year. Hania Aamir is reportedly starring in a Diljit Dosanjh film, while Mawra Hocane recently appeared in Indian musician Akhil Sachdeva’s music video Tu Chaand Hai. Joining them is acclaimed Pakistani actor and talk show host Imran Ashraf, who makes his Bollywood debut in the Indian Punjabi comedy Ehna Nu Rehna Sehna Nahi Aaunda.
The makers revealed two versions of the film's poster — one spotlighting Ashraf for Pakistani audiences and another downplaying his presence for international viewers. Despite the mixed reactions, fans have reason to celebrate as Ashraf steps into the global spotlight.
The film, a social comedy, explores the cultural clash between local and international students. It stars Ashraf alongside Jassie Gill, Sapna Pabbi, and Pakistani comedian Nasir Chinyoti.
Directed and written by Rupan Bal, Ehna Nu Rehna Sehna Nahi Aaunda hits cinemas worldwide on May 16.
