Veteran Pakistani actor Nauman Ijaz has responded to a social media user who questioned whether his showbiz earnings were halal or haram, urging the critic to focus on personal accountability rather than judging others.
The conversation started after Nauman Ijaz shared a thought-provoking message on his official Instagram account. In the video, the actor shared a message sent by a friend that discussed human instincts and the importance of understanding right and wrong through divine guidance.
Explaining the idea behind the message, Nauman said that Allah has blessed humans with natural abilities to recognize certain things. He gave everyday examples, explaining that people can immediately identify physical dangers and unpleasant experiences through their senses.
“When we touch something hot, our hand tells us it is hot. When we eat something hard, our teeth help us understand it. If something tastes bitter, our tongue recognizes it. When food becomes spoiled, our nose warns us that something is wrong,” he explained.
However, he highlighted that determining what is halal and haram is a matter where humans must rely on religious guidance and personal responsibility.
“But there is only one thing, halal or haram, that Allah has left for us to decide with His guidance. Do we truly know whether what we are consuming or doing is halal or haram?” Nauman questioned.
He further added that despite clear instructions, people sometimes continue engaging in actions they know may be wrong.
“Even after His clear commands, if we still consume haram, earn haram, or engage in haram actions, then what does that say about us? Should we not be ashamed?” he said.
